Through Soft Launch’s ongoing creative partnership with The Fresh Collective over the years, we’ve been lucky enough to work other Matt Moran venues, such as Crafted by Matt Moran (AGNSW) – though this felt different. For this project, we were taken to Canberra to sit down with the celebrated chef and his wonderful Brand Manager, to really get inside their heads and understand what they wanted to deliver for their debut Canberra venture. We were tasked to name two sister venues, that would sit right next door to one another. An Italian Steakhouse and a ‘proper fancy sandwich shop’.
Step into COMPA, here the servings are generous and the atmosphere is effortlessly sophisticated. It feels instantly familiar. Descending into the space is like giving an old friend a long overdue hug.
For Matt Moran’s ACT debut - antipasto, pasta and charcoal dishes bring a touch of Italy to your table. As with all his establishments, at the heart of his menu is quality produce that is fresh, seasonal and locally sourced. COMPA is built on a simple, often forgotten pairing: good food and good company.
The process was straightforward, fun and we can’t wait to do it again.
